The white villages
They are located in northwest mountains of Cadiz. Whiteness of these villages highlights in contrast to brown and green mountains. In this area is the Natural Park of Grazalema, a green and moist environment, because these mountains have the highest rainfall rate in Spain. They are in an unusual arrangement, as Setenil de las Bodegas, where the houses are carved into the rock, taking advantage of the Guadalporcún riverbed.
Each village has a lot of charm; Olvera, for example, with its castle and the sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies (Virgen de los Remedios). El Bosque, trout fishing area. Grazalema and their famous blanquets, Ubrique, renowned for its leather goods, Zahara de la Sierra, Benamahoma, Algodonales….
